Following up on the successful May 2004 trip to Phnom Penh (in an effort to bring direct aid, clothing and school supplies to homeless and foster care children in the capitol city and outlying provinces), Aid Cambodia volunteers traveled again to Cambodia between November 28 and December 6, 2005 for what now has become a regular and incredibly necessary and beneficial annual visit (complete with school supplies for 200+ children). And now, Aid Cambodia is planning its fourth trip to Cambodia, this one to take place December 23, 2006 - January 2nd, 2007. Yes, just in time for Christmas!

Joining us on our last trip were: Tim Nielander, general counsel for the Vaccine Fund, Lincoln Beauregard attorney with Gordon Thomas Honeywell, Kareen Smoke of Starbucks, Dr. Alison Devers, Dr. John Lewis and Noah Davis, attorney with In Pacta PLLC law firm in Seattle.

During our last trip to Cambodia, and utilizing the wonderful partnership that we have with the Street Children Assistance and Development Program (SCADP), we visited children in non-formal education settings in Phnom Penh as well as the rural province of Prey Vang.  Also during the December 06 trip, we attempted to assess the medical situation for children, and hope to use the information gleaned from the last trip to continue to assist children in the most meaningful and lasting way.  Including, for example considering asisting SCADP with more permanent housing for children living in slum areas, as well as more permanent and functional schools to replace some of the 29 current structures used by SCADP.

As always, we really need your help, so, if you are interested in assisting us with these efforts, please email us at help@aidcambodia.org or click the button below to make a tax deductible donation to our organization.  Our organization and the children we serve appreciate every penny of every dollar!

As it is more economically prudent for us to purchase clothing and food in Phnom Penh (rather than shipping it over from the donor country), the best way to aid our efforts is to send money.

Aid Cambodia is a 501(c)(3) organization, meaning that we are a charitable, non-profit organization and that your contributions are not only warmly welcomed and greatly needed, but are also tax deductible! Woohoo!

Please make all checks payable to "Aid Cambodia" and post them to:

Aid Cambodia, 705 2nd Ave Ste 601, Seattle WA 98104

Thank you for continuing to support Aid Cambodia and the children of Cambodia, and thank you for helping us help the world.

We are eternally grateful for your compassion, devotion and generosity.

And while we have a long way to go in terms of positively impacting the fabric of Cambodian society, we're off to a wonderful start!
